Score Day Camp Covid-19 Update

Dear Score Families,

We are planning to OPEN!
We hope everyone is safe and healthy during this time. We are very excited to announce that given the recent direction from the government which states; “The Ontario government might allow summer day camps to open in July and August under “strict” health and safety measures as long as trends continue to improve amid the corona virus pandemic”. With the summer quickly approaching, to be proactive, we have been in constant contact with other camps, the ministry of education and local health authorities, and we are already making any adjustment necessary to adhere to the new guidelines while maintaining our high level of camper experience.

Our generous facility!
We are very fortunate to have a large, well spread out facility with a generous outdoor space, numerous independent classrooms, and tons of amenities like gyms and recreational areas. Our space allows us to easily keep camp units independently controlled while still receiving the same or potentially better summer camp experience.

Controlled enrollment
Camp SCORE is committing to keeping our staff to camper ratio low to ensure we can be diligently focused on sanitization and sterilization without affecting our programming. Register now to secure your spots!

PASS the PPE’s!
We are already working with a distributor to ensure that we have all the necessary PPE’s (Personal Protective Equipment) and make this a part of our daily camper routine.

Promoting personal hygiene routines
Everything is a matter of habit right? We will introduce a new consistent camper routine with constant hand washing and challenging children not touch their faces! Who said cleanliness is not a sport… prizes to come for the cleanest kids!

Camper and staff symptomless surveys
Taking temps is now a part of our culture and we are ready for it. Campers and staff will be required to confirm that they are symptomless prior to entering the camp. More info about this to come. Staff Cleaning Checklists – Camp SCORE already had a rigorous cleaning routine in place and we will now add specific specialty roles that are only focused on continuous disinfecting of all touchpoints; including but not limited to toys, handles, surfaces, equipment, playground amenities, etc.

We are a licensed daycare and a camp!
Over the past few years we have gone through the very involved process of becoming a licensed daycare. Our younger tots will also enjoy a smaller class size to provide a more distanced environment for optimal playing and learning.

We feel very fortunate that during this time we are able to provide smiles on all of our kids faces, not to mention give our camper parents a much needed break! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We have been a trusted and reputable camp for 20 years and of all years, we are most excited for this one…. in light of what is happening today in this world, I believe this year will be the most rewarding of all.
